London stands with Ukraine.

Ukraine Vigil at Trafalgar Square.

GREATER LONDON AUTHORITY

HEART were appointed by the Mayors office and the GLA to create a vigil event on Trafalgar Square, in order to give a voice to Londoner’s who oppose the war in Ukraine. With only 10 days from being contacted to the event taking place, the Heart team worked tirelessly liaising closely with the LOSPG group to pull the event together, from designing and planning the event to organising the march that was to take place prior to the Vigil.

The Brief.

Over 30,000 people took part in the march that moved from Hyde park corner to Trafalgar Square. The Square had been transformed into a large scale events venue to safely hold the thousands who had travelled from around the capital to be at the event. Once on Trafalgar Square everyone's focus was placed on the fully programmed stage that included speeches from the mayor and other dignitaries, poems, music and a live video link with Vitali Klitschko the mayor of Kiev. All being broadcast on a large screen above the stage and live streamed on the Mayors twitter and YouTube channels.

The Solution.
