Heart’s Road Map to Net Zero.

At Heart we are committed to continually improving and reducing our environmental impact.

We recognise the impact the event sector can have on the environment and we are continuously working on our roadmap to reaching our collective goal to reduce our impact as much as possible – without compromising those unforgettable moments inspired by our clients’ events.

As a live events agency with 12+ years of delivering major, high-profile events for global brands and blue-chip companies we are implementing initiatives and are now documenting our progress on our sustainability journey, and this is all driven by the overarching target of becoming Net Zero by 2050 if not earlier.

We understand there is a lot of work to do and want to make sure we are continuously moving forward.

How do we act?

Our sustainability management system is based around the ‘plan, do, check and act’ road map, which we use when implementing processes across the board – from recruitment to supply chain management.  With specific regard to the environment.

Our Roadmap:

    1. In 2024, we have updated our supplier database to understand our supply chains current capabilities and practices and their future intentions where possible. We have also recorded who has signed our updated supplier agreement form which includes our new sustainability policy and data capture models/logs.

    2. We will continue working through our Carbon Reduction Plans to be able to continue to capture as much data as possible. We are working towards a full baseline report as we look to gather further scope 3 emissions data having successfully captured carbon impact against significant events in 2023 across a wide range of clients.

    3. The team has had training through the Isla community and supplier workshops and will continue to develop knowledge under additional workshops in year 2 of our collaborations.

    4. We are reviewing this objective as the landscape is complex and we are reviewing whether ISO or B Corp for example is the right approach. We did successfully attain Gold EcoVadis certification.

    5. Undertaking the Commitment of the UNFCCC Race to Zero continues to be at the forefront of our mind and we are working with senior management to take the necessary steps in our journey.

    1. Revising and updating our sustainability policy.

    2. Working through our Carbon Reduction Plan and to continue to measure against our baseline year to monitor and improve our progress.

    3. Joining the Isla Community which has specific support for the events industry, adopting the learnings and guidance from both Isla and the organisations within the community; and sharing our insights and experience in working with zero waste and net zero clients.

    4. Progressing with our ISO 9001 and 14001 accreditation so we are certified for the practices we have carefully followed as a business and for many clients.

    5. Undertaking the Commitment of the UNFCCC Race to Zero is at the forefront of our mind and we are working with senior management to take the necessary steps in our journey.
