LIVE EVENT DESIGN, PRODUCTION & MANAGEMENT

Since 2014 Heart has been engaged as Chelsea FC’s retained live event and experiential partner. Producing activations for the club that span as far as Tokyo, Beijing and Bangkok – together with all activities that take place at their home in Stamford Bridge, SW6 - Heart delivers everything from player activations, PR stunts, victory parade tours and even stadium design enhancements.

To deliver a unique, high profile activation for one of the club’s more iconic matches of the season – Champions League Chelsea FC v Barcelona, Heart were engaged to deliver a full pre-match “Soccer AM” style show in the Stamford Bridge grounds. Hosted by Marvyn Humes and YouTube influencer Wolfy, the show included a variety of features such as a live Q&A with CFC Legend Michael Ballack, as well as a spread of fan challenges and pre-recorded content which was live-streamed for the club’s global audience in the build up to the match.

The Bridge Sessions.

On 1st August 2020, as the Chelsea FC players headed to Wembley for the FA Cup Final, Heart produced an exclusive live streamed fan event (watched by over 200k) live from the rooftop at Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge stadium. The show was hosted by renowned DJ, presenter and Chelsea fan Trevor Nelson along with CFC tv’s Portia Ferrari. The event also included exclusives with Didier Drogba, NBA champion Larry Nance Junior, Arjun Kapoor and Matthew McConnaughey. The show also included live interviews with Lee Parket at Wembley stadium and the Chelsea FC training ground. with players Willian, Billy Gilmour, and Timo Werner. 

Trevor and Portia were joined in the studio by actress Emilia Fox and McFly’s Danny Jones, Jones – who is currently a judge on The Voice Kids and gave his verdict on songs sent in by members of the Junior Blues Fanclub. The event hosted fan competitions, as well as live music and giveaways which created an opportunity for fans to come together and celebrate their team before that all important FA Cup kick-off. The Heart team produced the streamed show using an onsite gallery production team in order to produce and direct multiple incoming streams to create a TV style broadcast. Mixing live streams, VTs/pre-records and graphics content all created inhouse.

Fan Fest.

In one of its most recent projects for Chelsea Football Club, Heart were tasked with the production and delivery of Chelsea's pan-Asian Premier League trophy tour, which saw a raft of activations delivered in both Bangkok and Tokyo including former midfielder Frank Lampard. Heart was challenged to deliver activations that offered a strong depth of fan engagement as well as extensive social reach. The end result saw a match-viewing party delivered in Bangkok for 500 fans, at which attendees were treated to an exclusive party with former Chelsea FC legends, interactive exhibits and a trophy photo opportunity a high-profile downtown venue. In Tokyo, Heart conceived a Frank Lampard content stunt which saw fans’ trophy images, photo-bombed by the footballing legend. The video, which generated national news was seen by more than 2.5million people worldwide.

A key focus at Chelsea FC is engaging their fans in new and exciting ways - and for the 2018/19 season Heart were tasked with design, production and delivery of the exclusive ‘player arrival experience’ at Stamford Gate. 30 lucky fans have the opportunity to win a place in the fan pen to meet the players as they get off the coach. With limited time and space available each match, Heart designed an easily assembled setup which gives fans unparalleled access to the players as well as creating a high-profile “red carpet” style arrivals area for the players to enter the stadium.
