On 2nd December, the new Barclaycard Arena launched after an impressive two year, £26 million refurbishment, as part of a partnership between Barclaycard and the NEC Group. (Heart) were briefed to launch the ‘Vista Rooms’, the new Barclaycard Customer Lounge, bringing to life the space and communicating the brand personality to customers.
We recruited ‘The Insiders’ – a team of people responsible for managing the customer experience in the lounge, from ensuring that everyone receives a greeting on arrival to managing VIPs and special requests. They were briefed on the artists, the local area and Barclaycard customer benefits.
Polaroid cameras were placed around the space with various props, so guests could capture their Vista Rooms moments. Photos were shared for a chance to win tickets to future events at the Barclaycard Arena. The insiders also captured short video moments of guests in the space, to be shared online.
Lucky customers were selected to celebrate birthdays & anniversaries in the exclusive celebration cabanas. These guests were surprised with cakes, cards, flowers and even an exclusive upgrade to Barclaycard’s premium box where they received complimentary food, drink & an unrivalled view!
