HEART produced the world premiere of The Beatles: Eight Days a Week, which saw thousands of music and film fans descend on London’s Leicester Square for one of the most hotly anticipated “rock-umentaries” of 2016.
The complete takeover of Leicester Square saw 200m of “blue carpet” laid for more than 1,600 guests, who had gathered to see the debut screening of Ron Howard’s latest film about the “Fab Four”.
Guests including Sir Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Yoko Ono and Madonna were all greeted by fans, as they gave interviews to global media, before then speaking to Edith Bowman and John Bishop who conducted the live stage-show.
Beamed via big screens to fans around the Square as well as 250 cinemas worldwide plus fans everywhere via Facebook Live, the premiere setup included an iconic “Abbey Road” crossing, a bespoke branded stage and a specially constructed arrivals bridge -allowing guests to traverse the blue carpet from the gardens all the way through to the cinema’s front doors.
The celebrations then continued into the small hours at London’s Banqueting House, as HEART delivered the exclusive after show party for the film’s stars and a select number of invited guests.
